Rudy's has great breakfast tacos as well BBQ. Not a big fan of the spicy sauce...too much black pepper, but the regular sauce is good. Don't leave without trying the peach cobbler.

Those are the best options here. Ribs are mediocre at best. In winter, try the green chile stew. It's surprisingly excellent.

I'm a midwesterner, so gas and bar-b-que don't mix in my area. Apparently that is not to in Texas. My son took me to Rudy's and the food is off the chain. It is sold by weight. The dining area is barn / garage / gas station motif. The tables are the long picnic tables with checkered table cloths. No frills here. There is a station for condiments. Your food comes in containers but your plates are sheets of waxed paper. Don't let this turn you off. The Beef brisket (they have two types) is to die for. The smoked turkey is heaven and the ribs, all I needed was a bed to lay down. The sides were ok, nothing to write home about, except for the beans, they were fantastic. If you are in the Dallas area, take the drive and go to this restaurant. For a family of 4 it cost us approx. 50.00. This included 4 different meats ( we ordered 1/4 - 1/2 lb of each), 3 sides and 2 drinks. It was worth it. And it is in a gas station.

We sampled all of Rudy's barbque, brisket, chicken, turkey and sausages, and every bit of it was excellent. This is a great family restaurant.

Rudy's has become a fast growing chain of BBQ restaurant / gas station, with locations opening up constantly. I really love it for breakfast, they have the best breakfast tacos! The BBQ is consistent, a little pricey compared with local joints, but smoked brisket and ribs are pretty good... Note to all - Texas BBQ is very subjective, different techniques give you very different results, so I rated this very good as to me that means better then average, so better then Spring Creek, much better then Dickey's.
