I've been to this and other Babe's locations many times and it's definitely a staple for eating with large groups, families or just whenever comfort food hits the spot. This past weekend my brother came to visit who lives in another country and had never been to Dallas. We knew we had to take him to Babe's for some chicken and they did not disappoint. Our wait to be seated was about a half hour, but it was a holiday weekend and Babe's is a popular place so it's no surprise. Once we got inside we were greeted by our server, Morgan, who took the time to explain to my brother and another friend who hadn't been to Babe's before how things were done. She rattled off the different meat options, explained the side dishes, took our drink order and returned promptly with drinks and Babe's salad and fresh biscuits. Not long after our order arrived, which consisted of four orders of fried chicken and two orders of chicken tenders. The sides of corn, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans all arrived as well. Drinks were refilled and they even took a musical request from my daughter to play the Hokey Pokey so she could get up and dance with the waitresses. We had an early celebration of my brother's birthday and they had him wear the chicken hat and dance like a chicken while they sang happy birthday to him. We saved room for dessert and had some apple cobbler with ice cream to top off the night.
This restaurant is not for the diet or health conscious, but it is a very tasty and yummy place to eat.
