To: Whom it may concern...
Its Monday night, the week of Thanksgiving week and my wife and I just checked into the Westin StoneBriar Resort in Frisco Texas. I am a life Time Platinum, joining in 1996 with over 1000+ nights staying in Starwood properties. I’ve stayed at some awesome SPG properties over the years and I am very loyal to SPG. To this point, I was hotel guest #2 to stay at the StoneBriar Resort when the original GM opened the doors. This GM who is at another Westin Property would be very upset to learn of this email… I've stayed in this property over 50 times over years but will never again after this stay...
By far, this has to be the worst customer service experience during my check in process that I've ever had in my 20 years of staying in Starwood hotels... This hotel is slow in occupancy but was told there is no rooms available to accommodate a possible paid or non paid upgrade to a little larger room. For the Non paid upgrades are provided off of status level and are typically given when rooms are available..
After further requesting to check other room types of availabilities, I was then informed that the Owners of the Stonebriar Westin Hotel are in town and all the Owners have the larger rooms... Unbelievable!
Really??, the Owners have all the larger possible upgrade-able rooms over a loyal life time platinum that keeps the doors open day in and day out and that have been overly loyal to the Starwood brand for 20+ years... Very Very very disappointed in this and have reached out to the General Manage to discuss, with no avail..
This is probably the worst excuse/accommodation ever and on top of not being able to get a better room felt no loyalty in return or appreciation of all of the years of my loyalty.. I will never stay in this Westin Stone Briar Property again and I want everyone reading this that have spent a career being loyal to Starwood and particular to the Westin Stonebriar Resort, there is no loyalty at this property for a Lifetime Platinum...
Pretty obvious that this Westin Stonebriar Resort has NO loyalty to their LifeTime Platinum guests… Stay away, there are plenty of other Starwood or other National Hotel chains in the greater Dallas area that would love to have your business and loyalty…
Very Disappointed!
