We are regular visitors to Surfside Beach and have always enjoyed eating a the Red Snapper. This time, the oysters were greasy, the lump crab a very small portion, fried fish greasy - and only the steak was pronounced as "good." Service was sporadic and our server seemed to have the entire restaurant while the others stood around the kitchen pass through.

Thank you for taking the time to voice your opinion. We apologize you did not enjoy your last visit. Would you mind letting the manager on duty know whenever something is not up to par so we can fix it for you right away. Although we pride ourselves on our food and service we are not perfect and will make a mistake. By letting the manager know immedidately, they can remedy the situation so that your party does not have to suffer through a bad meal. All our kitchen staff have been with me for over 15 years and they are very consistent. By posting your comments we are able to help demonstrate why consistency is so important. Again I humbly apologize and thank you for keeping us on our toes.

This place has really good seafood... the inside is a little old fashion country looking inside but the food is really good... I guess it could be romantic if that's what your going for...(low lighting in the place)...

We got take out following a not very successful fishing trip. The food was average I had the special pecan encrusted snapper which was tasty but disappointed with the accompaniments. The rest of the groups food was equally disappointing in particular the baby whole red snapper which was mainly bones. The salads were limp and unappetising. While we were waiting 4 separate families came and left after seeing the menu prices or being told to wait in the patio area. It does feel that they are taking advantage of a somewhat captive audience.

All our prices are set by the market. We buy only fresh fish which we fillet daily and prepare to our specifications. Compared to other restaurants in the area that serve similiar dishes we are much cheaper and all our meals are all-inclusive. We do not believe in "a la carte pricing" which can drive the price of each menu item up by a third or more. I'm sorry if one is unaware that a whole fish has bones in it. I thought that was evident in the description. My staff and I will not make that assumption again. Thank you for your comments.

Pros: The menu has a good selection and the seafood is very fresh.
The service was very good.
I ordered fried shrimp and oysters and it was excellent.

Cons: Very noisy when full and it was hard to hear each other. However, we were a larger
party of 9 people so that did make it more difficult to hear someone on the other side of
the table.

We would definitely eat here again when in the area.

The place has a certain smell to it (sort of like stale pee) and it took me a while to ignore the smell, carpet probably could use replacement. The food was ok, not sure that it's worth the $100 spent of a meal for three. Service was lacking.
