This is a great B&B. The owner Marsha is just so warm and open. Between her and Rick, they can tell you anything you want to know about Fredericksburg. Have good tips on local dining venues, and what to do in town. Breakfast is excellant. There are cookies in the room, and candies. Rooms are clean, and service is outstanding.

We picked this place last minute, and felt so lucky we did! Marsha and Rick were the perfect hosts, the breakfast was fantastic, the peach iced tea in the afternoon was key, and the porch/grounds/chairs/bikes made the stay a true vacation. The rooms were adorable--very "country" but very comfortable--and included a wide variety of movies, a glass of wine, and delicious cookies! It was a phenomenal place to stay--and such a bargain!

My husband and I stayed at Corner Cottage for a three day romantic getaway. This quaint bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations. First of all, the room was perfectly done- every detail had been meticulously executed down to old black and white photos of her own family members. It was perfect. The mini fridge was stocked AND REFILLED with complimentary sodas and a decanter of wine. The cookies? Oh my, the cookies that were left in our room each day. Heavenly. My husband and I hoarded one to take home with us on the last day. There was a TV with cable, a dvd/vcr and a full stock of movies and popcorn waiting in the mini kitchen for those who want to stay in for the evening.

The breakfast was divine as well. Her butter pecan french toast, eggs, bacon, hashed potatos (best I've ever had and NOT Ihop style run of the mill boring), pancakes, fruit cups and peaches and cream... oh my goodness. It was all so incredibly good. I kept meaning to take a picture of each plate, but started eating before I ever remembered to get my camera out. And the sugar free Peach tea. I don't even like tea, and I drank cups of this stuff. It was delicious.

The hostess, Marsha, and her husband, Rick, have truly put together a one of a kind, amazing bed and breakfast. They are the kindest people and aim to make your visit a memorable experience whether it's just one night or three days. If you do happen to stay 3 nights, Marsha will pack up a picnic lunch for you and send you out (even advising you on the best place to have that picnic). Croissant sandwiches, chips, caramel corn, drinks of our choice, apples, and a red checkered picnic blanket filled the basket- no brown bags here, but a real picnic basket.

Overall, it was a great experience and my husband and I had a fabulous romantic getaway. The Corner Cottage is an absolute must for any of our future trips out there.

This is just an awesome place to stay!! We made our 5th trip here a few weeks ago and were thrilled to be back; we will make two more trips this year to visit Marsha and Rick. Such a homey B&B and wonderful hosts; we felt like we were coming home. Marsha serves the best breakfast. The cookies Rick leaves in the rooms each day are to die for. We would never stay anywhere else. It's off the beaten path and away from the crowds, but close enough to Main Street and all of the shops. No fighting for a parking space, just pull up in front of the house. Birds in the trees ... and the last time we were there, we even saw a fawn bedded down by the creek.

We just returned from a simply wonderful visit to Fredericksburg. I have always loved the B&B's, great food, wine and fun shops you find in Fredericksburg. We were in for a real treat booking The Corner Cottage! This B&B has all of the little extra's that made the stay perfect. Marsha and Rick the owners are delightful. I have stayed in B&B's in various parts of the states and Canada. This was by far the best experience I have had at a B&B. There are 3 private units and they are stocked with water, soda, a welcome glass of wine, fresh home made cookies EACH DAY, coffee, tea, cider, etc...... You have a coffee maker and small fridge in each unit. Each is very country cute and well decorated with a living area with a TV, bedroom, big bath and fire place. My unit also had a sleeper sofa! Marsha made us a fantastic gourmet breakfast every morning. It was amazing food!
I would recommend the Corner Cottage for couples, girls weekends away or family reunions. It is the best you will find in Fredericksburg, Texas!

I am in complete agreement with mumshols, and I can add that Corner Cottage B & B is a full-service B & B. we had a flat overnight, and Rick got out his car-battery-driven pump, confirmed that it was a slow leak, told us where to go for a patch, and then took us to a tyre-shop when Walmart wimped out of getting one of the wheel-bolts out. and did you know that Marsha designed and contracted Twigley's herself?

This was a lovely place to stay. We had lots of space with a cosy private sitting area, fridge , cofffee maker etc and home made biscuits. we could walk to several restaurants for our evening meal.
There was a large, comfy bed and traditional hill-country style furnishings as well as an excellent bathroom.
The highlight had to be the wonderful breakfasts freshly cooked for us as well as all the interesting conversations that we had with our hosts.
We would not hesitate to recommend this B & B to anyone and would certainly stay there again if we are ever in Texas.
