Owner description: Wildseed Farms is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, just seven miles east of Fredericksburg, Texas. Come by and see us seven days a week, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring the camera and capture the ultimate in wildflower photographs! Spend as much time as you like at the farm's activities. We have 200 acres of wildflowers in various stages of development here on the farm. Springtime visitors will likely see Texas bluebonnets, red corn poppies, phlox, and a gorgeous array of other spring flowers. Summer visitors will enjoy cosmos, sunflowers, zinnias and other warm weather bloomers. In the fall, the fields are planted for the following year's color, but our Nursery is well stocked with a variety of choices for fall planting and colorful pumpkins adorn the grounds around The Shops at Wildseed Farms which are brimming with delightful gifts for home and garden. And don’t forget to browse our incredible selection of wildflower seeds as well as our seven regional mixes for anywhere in the U.S.

After visiting Luckenbach, TX on a day trip out of San Antonio, we stopped by Wildseed Farms. The flowers were few this time of year, but we've been before in the Spring when the color and views are breathtaking. However, there's always fun shopping for garden supplies plus the BrewBonnet restaurant in back is a refreshing stop particularly on a hot day like we experienced. There is wine tasting and you can purchase wine as well as many other jams, jellies, butters, and snacks. We had a salami and cheese tray along with cold drinks and ice cream--all which really hit the spot.

Highly recommend this as part of any Fredericksburg/Luckenbach road trip out of Austin or San Antonio.

This is not your average buy some seeds or flowers spot. You can sample wine in their wine garden, eat lunch, enjoy Lady Bird Johnson's meadow, beautiful landscaping. See the bluebonnets in bloom (Texas state flower), enjoy live entertainment, shop for gifts and last but not least you can buy seeds, pottery and take your camera for some beautiful photography in the flower gardens.

My family recently spent the weekend in Fredericksburg. We were looking for something different to do with our girls, ages 6 and 3, so we took them to Wildseed Farms. They had so much fun looking at all the flowers and especially loved the butterfly garden. Lots of interesting items for sale and yummy treats, too. I'd highly recommend it for a family visit!

My husband orders flower seeds from here (we live in Massachusetts) and wanted to see this while visiting friends in San Antonio. The setting is spectacular with flowers of one color after another are grouped together in field after field! There is a walking path around the different fields, with benches for sitting and enjoying the views. Indoors, there is a complete selection of flower seeds for sale, as well as other garden-oriented products. Of course being in Texas, we had to have some Blue Bell ice cream, and enjoyed that in a covered outdoor seating area. And finally there was limited wine tasting and sandwiches available to take outside for lunch. We'd would definitely go back. Plan to spend 1 -2 hours to explore the grounds and shops.

Great stop. Lots to see and always changing. Enjoy your time and do some shopping. I learned a lot about lavender. Took home some. So many winery's in the area, so visit. Great places to stay in the area.
