This place was busy, perhaps because very few other restaurants were actually open and those served mostly German food. With all the other choices of Mexican food in Texas, I would skip this place and save the calories for a better place. Bland, strangely sweetened sauces, and cheese enchiladas with a runny watery consistency. I guess if you are mainly after a Margarita, this is a good place to get it in Fredericksburg. The decor is nice, the service was good.

There is plenty of authentic German food here, but for a change of pace try this very nice Mexican eatery…good service and modest priced menu.

We are BIG fans of Mexican cuisine and as full-time travelers often find ourselves in Mexican restaurant, as much as twice a week. Depending on your geographic location in this country the quality can range from perfectly horrible to absolute divine. As we are dOwn in Texas I did not expect such run of the mill fare in this arena. It was good, but not the level of quality I'm used to experiencing being so close to San Antonio. The saving grace ( and additional ★) is a direct result of Jody's service. Wait staff of this calibre are few and far between. Jody was attentive without being obnoxious, sensitive without being nosy, friendly without being intrusive. If we go back we'll call ahead to make sure Jody Is working.

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Mamacita's. We hadn't read any reviews and simply wanted to have a good Mexican style meal. Well, we certainly did. From the second we stepped into this restaurant, everything about it was great. The decor was very colourful but tasteful and we were accompanied to our table almost immediately. Our waitress, Tracey B. was charming and helpful and went out of her way to make the occasion memorable. My Guisada Monterrey with chicken and my boyfriend's with beef were delicious as were the tostadas and salsa served before. We might have also ordered one of the seemingly succulent desserts but were sated by then. We will definitely make a point of returning to this restaurant at some point.

Never disappointed! Always fresh, hot and reasonably priced. We have been to the one in Kerville and San Antonio and all are great! Great servers!
