We found the restaurant on TripAdvisor, but were still expecting a touristy restaurant. Well, it wasn't or at least didn't feel like it. We dined there on a Wed. night and found it to be a wonderful dining experience. We can't speak to the noise level or the crowds on the weekends. We sat outside, the service (never were we rushed) and the food selections were terrific. With waterfalls and cabins surrounding the dining space, we enjoyed our pork tenderloin and eggplant pirout entrees, and some Tito's made martinis. We peaked into the main dining room and it was well appointed, but we could see that with a full crowd it could be noisy as it was a very open space. We would definitely go back again.

The food was excellent, however the ambience was lacking due to the noise level. Attenuation of the crowd noise would make this facility a much better dining experience.

Ate there for first time recently celebrating anniversary. Great place for special occasions. Definitely will be back. Recommend the pork loin and the Malbec - scrumptious.

We chose this restaurant via a recommendation from a friend. I also checked Trip Advisor as well prior to our trip to Fredericksburg. We ate hear mid week, so we had no difficulty being seated around 7:00. I'm sure if you appeared on a Friday or Saturday evening, reservations would be needed. Great street appeal with water features and an outdoor dining area, which was closed during our visit probably due to off season. Inside we found a very rustic lodge style dining area. They feature all local Texas wines; Amiee our waitperson was very knowledgeable about the various selections. That evening service was quick and responsive. We started with a warm goat cheese appetizer and the wife and I shared a spinach salad with grapefruit and a grapefruit vinegar dressing. Nice twist. I opted for the mixed grill which was comprized of a selection of quail, smoked pork tenderloin, and grilled filet. The filet was tender and could almost be cut with a fork. The pork was flavorful, but just a bit dry. My wife tasted my quail and now wants quail included in our meal plan each week. All three items can ordered as individual as individual entrees. My wife has a chilpotle shimp in a cream type sauce. Tasty and rich, more than she could eat. Very nice meal, as nice as any steak restaurant in the Austin area in that price range. Plan on spending $100 for two with one appetizer, one salad, two entrees and two glasses of wine. Can't go wrong with this place.

Wonderful atmosphere, professional wait staff, a lovely place to dine. Slow pace, we spent 1 1/2 hours. Recommend the pecan crusted crab cakes-incredible flavor. I had the shrimp scampi- very tender shrimp and nice portion. Husband had snapper with crab had lots of flavor. Don't pass up desert, unusual selections. A great restaurant and plan to go back!
