After we waited outside for a while we began enjoying the company with us. The hostess reminded us of the Wizard of Oz as she opened the door, shouted a name and slammed the door again. We decided to pay no attention to the hostess behind the curtain. The food was ok. My pork meatballs were really dressing meatballs with only a few shreds of meat, for this, I think was over priced. We were served rye bread as a complement only after they asked if we wanted it. Few choices of something to drink without alcohol and that came in a can. It was an ok dinner, but I will not go back.

the best thing about this restaurant is if you were a hungry, homeless, dog you'd feel like you were fed.otherwise, do yourself a favor and eat at the local MacDonald's, if you did that, then at least you would know what to expect, you would more than likely be full, and I highly doubt of it would cost you 70.00 dollars for a cold, bland, so called 'German' dinner for 3 adults and 2 kids. ridiculous how such a silly place could stay in business. The folks that put good reviews on here must have had a different cook than we did!!!..here you go, this what we had: spahgetti that was, well, just cheap. not worth the 12.00 that a plate of it cost (no bread came with it, and no salad) a previously frozen, grilled chicken patty with a smidgen of red cabbage, a couple of Tblsp. of white rice, no other choice of sides came with this chicken , and again, no bread, and no salad) roast beef and gravy, something that they called 'German potato salad', even thought it looked and tasted like something instant out of a box. ( this was the worst entree of all!) potato and cheese soup in a small white cup, it was not as good as canned soup ,and once again, came with no bread,no crackers....$ 8.00. and a childs portion of the same spahgetti. too much money for canned, cold food. The waitress was tired, slow, and on her last foot.poor woman didn't appear to have had any sleep in quite some time.

We were fortunate to be able to be seated immediately. There are not many tables in this restaurant.

Unfortunately our waitress was a little frazzled and a little curt. Perhaps they were understaffed

The food was excellent. The Gurken salat was enough for four to share. We had Jagerschnitzel, Gulasch, and Paprika schnitzel. We were all pleased with our selections. I was surprised that they didn't offer spaetzel with the schnitzels. We had German chocolate cake for dessert. Very good food!

This is a very unassuming little restaurant. The food was excellent, although the menu isn't extensive. We asked several stores which restaurant they recommended for German food and all said Der Lindenbaum was the best! The wait staff was very friendly, and service was excellent.

A great place with a large selection of traditional German food, that is prepared very well. You know it's good because there is always a line waiting!
