We heard about this place from a couple we ran into at dinner the night before, they recommended the steaks because they're 'hand cut'. They may be hand cut but no flavor at all. When you have to salt and pepper it when it comes out, there's a problem.
On the other hand, I had the country fried steak with gravy, which was fantastic, no complaints. They do this dish well!
On the website and menu they talk about how everything is made from scratch, if so, the sides may have been made the day before. As the potatoes were dry and the okra soggy.
The waitress was super friendly and very fast and efficient, so that was a plus. You can tell they have a long time loyal customer base, on a Saturday evening it was full of mostly older couples that seem to know there way around.
But for $50 for dinner we were both very disappointed and won't return.
