We have enjoyed staying at Messina Hoff in Bryan for many years and this was our first chance to stay at this location. We LOVED the experience at the Messina Hoff Hill Country! It is in a great location central to all the 290 wineries and vineyards with high end luxury yet cozy charm! We will be back!!! We visited other wineries and ended our day at MH everyday for an evening glass on the back patio. Breakfast was provided (yummy strudel and fruit which we ate on the back patio as well and even caught a glimpse of deer and other wildlife. Nice!

The Manor Haus cottage was quiet, relaxing, lush and comfortable, as well as beautifully decorated. Anyone who enjoys antiques in brand new accommodations will be fascinated by the decor, all themed with the name of the cottage. The first class touches included breakfast in the room, complete with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, lush towels, outstanding bed and linens, as well as a wine tasting room directly outside your door. The breakfast included fresh fruit, a 12” round apple cake, yogurt, orange juice, freshly ground coffee, cereal and a bottle of milk, all in adorable containers. We never had time to use the television because there was much too much to see and do in our three days in Fredericksburg. The Messina Hof staff was outstanding with helpful information, both with wine tastings and local events. The cordial and positive attitudes of each member of the staff truly allowed us to feel like part of the beautiful Bonarrigo family. This is THE place to be for all the winery tours. The location is very central and the accommodations superb.

Room Tip: One cottage has two queen beds; all other cottages have a king bed.

Wow - what an amazing place!! Off from the hustle and bustle yet within a moment's drive to where we had to go. Beautiful cottage!! Everything was new!! The service and the people were extraordinary!!! I could not rate this a more grander place to stay!! The back patio with the table and chairs had the most magnificent view. Can't wait to come back!!! Was hesitant to stay there based upon the previous review but I'm ever so glad I took the chance!! I can't recommend this place any higher than I do!!

On the plus side, the room was nice, the included tasting was the best in town and the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge was first class. Too bad the TV didn't work and we had to switch rooms. In the new room, the channel selections were anemic. When we called to report it, nobody answered even though it was in the middle of the day. The shower soap dispenser was clogged, the bar of soap in the room was stuck to the dish because it was previously used, as was the orange juice in the fridge. I don't know for sure but the bed appeared slept in. We did get a breakfast coupon, but the prices were much higher than elsewhere in town, which pretty much eliminated the value of the coupon. I would recommend staying elsewhere at a lower cost such as the Cotton Gin where we stayed last time. We also never received an e-mail reservation confirmation.

Room Tip: Stay in town so you can walk to stores.
