The Admiral Nimitz Historic site is attached to the National Pacific War museum. Inside the Historic site is small but does a good job in giving tribute to the Nimitz family.

Interesting museum even though the timeline can be tricky to follow. Make sure you leave a lot of time for the "Pacific War Museum" next door!

This small, focused museum covers the Nimitz family history in the region, which is quite interesting to see, particularly when you continue on to the Museum of the War in the Pacific, in which he figured hugely.

Small but interesting. An entrance to the National Museum of the Pacific War. Describes the history of the man, and his dedication to his men.

The Nimitz Historic Site in Fredericksburg is a wondrously presented educational experience for anyone interested in America's wars. The scenes depicted and the auditory message combined with the self-guided nature of the tour make for a revealing look at this era of our history.
The ticket price allows admission for 2 days, which are necessary for anyone who loves to read and reflect on the different displays or scenes that are shown. There is far too much material to take in on a single day - at least for my wife and I.The accuracy and detail of its content are remarkable! Our veterans are sure to be impressed and moved.
We have visited this attraction several times now, and always find it fascinating.
