Great wine. A little of the beaten path, but well worth the trip.

Not as crazy busy as the other wineries allowing for more personal service. Good wine as well.

We have always enjoyed the tastings at this winery. This time we bought a bottle of wine and settled on their covered patio to enjoy the wine with the cheese and crackers we had brought with us. A perfect way to enjoy a Texas afternoon in the springtime!

Wine tasters have to want to visit this winery as it's way out into the country. Our GPS didn't even know where Usener Road is, but it's worth the visit. I honestly thought we'd missed the place because it's so far off highway. Winery gets its name because Chisholm Trail ran through the property. The wines are a bit different than what we'd had before, which was refreshing and fun. They are open a bit later than the other area wineries, closing at 6 instead of 5.

The Chisolm Trail Winery red wines are outstanding. They are smooth and delicious.

The winery is approximately 20 minutes outside of Fredericksburg, but is well worh the trip. It is located on a ranch, and it is a beautiful setting. We went on a Friday afternoon, and there were only about 6 people in the tasting room. We received a lot of attention during our tasting.
