The Willow City Loop is one of the most scenic drives in Texas through towering granite hills and across a rocky fertile valley. It's a paved county road with private property on each side so you must stay in your vehicle. A favorite time to make the loop is during the wildflower season in late spring. The loop is about 12 miles and because of the many turns, slab creek crossings and narrow road, the drive takes about 45 minutes. Drive slow and watch for cattle as in some places there are no fences.
