Many stores to chose from...ranging from jewelry to antiques. A really great way to spend a day with your better half. Prices are a bit on the high side (tourism). Look for parking around the block from main street.

My mom loves to go in and out all of these little shops. It is one of the reasons we visit the city. That and the gorgeous scenery all around the Hill Country. They are really fun to visit just make sure to get there by 10 because they close at 5 pm and most of the little eatery's are only open until 1 or 2.

What a neat, quaint town. Main Street has something for everyone from the Christmas Store to the General Store to the "five and dime" plus wonderful places to dine. A great place to stroll.

There are so many shops to look at on Main Street. There is a little something for everyone. Con: The shops close early. Most of them were closed for the evening by 5 or 5:30pm. Therefore, you must shop with the crowds IN THE HEAT of the day if you want to do some shopping.

There were some great restaurants on main street and lovely galleries on the north end of Main. For a tourist town, there were an awful lot of home furnishings stores with furniture that would only work in a very large home but it was interesting to see. Some of the shops were so jumbled full of stuff they made my head hurt. But overall, it was a lot of fun and the shopkeepers were really friendly and helpful.
