Main Street travels through the middle of the town's historic district. About 20 blocks of gift and antique shopping, along with cafes, gourmet shops and art galleries and B&Bs. Definitely worth taking the time to walk. One caveat...all street parking is front pull in (not parallel), so unless you've got someone who can keep watch as you back out of your space, opt for one of the free lots located at the visitors centers.

Lots of shops. Something for everyone. Careful when walking with elderly, sidewalks tend to be uneven at times.

Excellent shops and eateries! Plan to spend a couple of days strolling main street. There are so many shops you are going to want to stop in. We spent two days and still didn't get to every shop. I guess I'll have to go back!

It's definitely fun to browse all of the stores and some of the restaurants along Main Street. You can find antiques and odds and ends and things that are just somewhat fun to browse when you're on vacation. There are quite a few restaurants and some wonderful art. It's not something easily enjoyed when it's extremely hot out because you're doing a lot of walking in the sun. It's definitely better in cooler weather. There are benches occasionally along the way if you need to stop but they are pretty spread out. If you're there on a Monday or Tuesday, some things will be closed. And if you like to do anything after 5:30 on a weekday, you'll have to go somewhere else. Almost everything closes at 5:30, or 6 on weekends.

There are many shops on Main Street to choose from. There are several places to do wine tasting, clothing, home accessories, sauces and dips etc.
