This was our first visit to Fredericksburg and it was a marvelous experience!! We stayed in the Bolinger Cabin, an historic Texas cabin, part of the B&B property, that was beautifully, and charmingly restored an appointed with both authentic antiques and modern amenities. We loved sitting on the porch swing in the evenings. Sam was very kind to cook my steak on his grill (ask him about it's famous history) and it was expertly cooked to perfection. Breakfast was wonderful, with buttermilk pancakes with fresh peaches. Don't forget the other welcoming committee, the cat Elton John and the resident pup, "Paco.". You will feel welcomed and refreshed after staying here!!

What a fantastic experience at our first B&B! Sam & Becky made us feel so welcome our entire stay. Their Texas charm is exemplified with their great conversation & absolutely delicious breakfast. The buttermilk biscuits are the best I've ever had! Each of their cottages are unique & have a story to tell. We loved the Bolinger Log Cabin with it's rich history & it's charming front porch. This stay was a gift from our daughter & son-in-law, who had also stayed there. They were so enchanted with Sam & Becky & their experience at Chuckwagon Inn B&B, they gave us a wk-end for our birthdays. Best birthday gift ever! Highly recommend a visit with Sam & Becky. We will definitely be going back!

Becky and Sam made us feel welcome from the time we pulled in the driveway. Their "Texas" hospitality is over the top. The food was great and the conversations even better. They made our fist B&B experience feel like we were at our own house. The rooms and cottages are all unique with their own theme, and our stay in the Mustange Bunkhouse was exceptional, we will return to experience another one. Sam's restaurant reviews were spot on. Poco and Elton John were the icing on the cake! Thank you Sam & Becky for a wonderfull expierence, Kim and I will visit again, soon!

We had the most awesome weekend at the Chuckwagon Inn Bed & Breakfast, Sam and Becky made us feel so welcome on our arrival. Becky and Sam both came to meet us and asked if we had any type of food allergies or any food concerns, this was a blessing since the wife is on a very low sodium diet. Beck and Sam made sure to accomidate our needs in this manner. The evenings out under the patio is something you need to venture on for yourself, but be sure you go sit with Sam at "his" place!!!! Sam was very helpful in choosing restraunts in town letting us know where to get the best foods. This was my first stay at a B&B and when we all left after breakfast Sunday morning, we left having a new family of friends that we hope to see someday soon. Thank you Becky and Sam for having us and Teresa and I will be back to see you both!!!!

Room Tip: I accidentally clicked on the swimming pool and fitness room, I'm sure though, Sam would show yo...

We just spent a wonderful long weekend at The Chuckwagon Inn. We loved the Mustang Bunkhouse, the cantina, Becky and Sam, Elton, the beautiful surroundings, and the amazing breakfasts! We went for our 5th wedding anniversary, and we will be going back as soon as we can! We have stayed at B&B's before, but this was by far the best. Everything is clean and well decorated. You really feel at home. If you are planning a trip to Fredericksburg, you really need to give Becky a call, you won't regret it.

Room Tip: From what I can tell, there is no room that you won't love!

great quiet getaway yet still close enough to town... suites tastefully done and very clean and each with its own personality. The hosts Sam & Becky are caring, professional and fun. Sam's engaging and funny personality is worth the stay in itself. Great breakfest. Sam knows food so listen to his restaurant suggestions as well as their suggestions on traveling the hill country. Their website was quite helpful as well as quite accurate in selecting Chuckwagon Inn. Another review said it was like visitng with two good friends and that is exactly how we felt. We shall return!

Room Tip: all 5 rooms have great personality

Luckily we found Sam and Becky's B & B online for our stay in Fredericksburg recently. We were so impressed with Becky's helpfulness when we called to make our reservations. When we arrived, they were gracious and inviting. Sam's breakfast was wonderful, and the rooms were VERY clean and well appointed. We couldn't have asked for anything more. It was first rate! We plan to return to the area and will definitely stay at the Chuckwagon Inn again. There rating should be A+++. We have stayed in many B & B's but theirs is at the top of the list.
