“Awesome Accomodations”

Luckily we found Sam and Becky's B & B online for our stay in Fredericksburg recently. We were so impressed with Becky's helpfulness when we called to make our reservations. When we arrived, they were gracious and inviting. Sam's breakfast was wonderful, and the rooms were VERY clean and well appointed. We couldn't have asked for anything more. It was first rate! We plan to return to the area and will definitely stay at the Chuckwagon Inn again. There rating should be A+++. We have stayed in many B & B's but theirs is at the top of the list.

If it means anything at all, we enjoyed our stay at the Chuckwagon Inn with hosts Becky and Sam Higgins so much, that we are already talking about when we can go back. We just had so much fun meeting the Higgins, enjoying their fine breakfasts and soaking up the Texas Hill Country hospitality and lore. Sam is quite a character, entertaining us with his colorful stories. Becky keeps the rooms are immaculate and so tastefully done; very charming, but not overly ostentatious. It all felt so wonderfully comfortable. Loved Paco and Elton roaming the grounds. It's on the edge of town so feels like you are in the country, but is very convenient to get into Fredricksburg to enjoy the shops and dining. We were traveling with friends and talked about our experience at the Chuckwagon all the way home. We will most definitely return for another visit to the lovely B & B owned and lovingly operated by the Higgins.

Room Tip: We stayed in Becky's kitchen. VERY comfortable bed and has a deck with chairs to look over the...

This is our second time to stay at the Chuckwagon B&B. The location is perfect, as you are five minutes from downtown, but far enough out to see the stars in the sky. Sam & Becky make you feel at home, and we enjoyed taking Paco for a walk each evening. Thanks again for a wonderful get away!

The Chuckwagon Inn web site, as good as it is, does not show the kind hearts of the hosts Sam and Becky. Sam greeted us when we arrived and immediately felt at home. We didn't end up at a hotel, we found ourselves enjoying a visit with two good friends. The cabin had quite a history that went with it and Sam glady told it's story. The property was immaculate! ....down to the fold of the sheets. Sam has a way of getting the conversation started so it wasn't long before we were all sharing stories. We found the place to stay when we return to Fredericksburg - without a doubt. Superb breakfast - Great accomodations - Wonderful Hosts. Certainly looking forward to visiting with our friends again.

Room Tip: All of the cabins are great. The Bollinger Cabin was our choice but you can't go wrong at the Chu...

My new husband and I recently stayed at the Chuckwagon Inn's Bollinger Cabin for our mini-honeymoon. It was the perfect balance of privacy and friendliness. We were looking for a place where we could be secluded if we want to, and Becky and Sam's B&B really delivered.

The Bollinger Cabin was rustically charming and very cozy. It had a great jacuzzi tub, porch swing, kitchenette, and a wonderful gas fireplace. We enjoyed it very much and can't wait to go back.

The only time we saw other people on the premises was at breakfast, which was exactly what we were looking for. The country breakfasts are fabulous, and every morning we were offered something entirely different. Sam and Becky are great storytellers, and also give great advice about where to eat in town. All in all, we had a great time at the Chuckwagon Inn, and will be recommending it to our friends and family.

My husband and I stayed at the Chuckwagon Inn the weekend after Thanksgiving and are planning to go back in March. The breakfast is deliciously homemade and the company can't be beat. Sam and Becky truly care about their guests and you leave feeling like family! I can't wait to go back!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Chuckwagon Inn for our four year anniversary and it was wonderful!! From the minute I called to make the reservation, Becky was warm and helpful. We stayed in Larry Bill's Chuckwagon and, as Becky promised, we loved it. Everything was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and the breakfast was phenomenal! Our favorite- Sam's homemade buttermilk biscuits and gravy. He only makes them on Sunday- so make sure to include that day in your reservation!!

Besides the Chuckwagon Inn, we loved Fredericksburg. In just two days we were able to climb to the top of Enchanted Rock, visit several wineries, go to town, have some good German beer and food AND visit Luckenbach. The perfect romantic weekend getaway!

Room Tip: If you want a country feel- pick Larry Bill's Chuckwagon.
