Great little place for breakfast. Omelets were perfect. Our son was being rather picky and our server did an incredible job in getting him a plate he'd actually eat (two pieces of bacon, toast and a sliced banana), none of which was actually on the menu.

My wife and I ate here twice during a 4-day weekend getaway to Fredericksburg.

Sunday morning it was very busy and there was about a 15-20 minute wait for a table. It was confusing when we entered the front door because we weren't greeted by anyone and it wasn't clear if we needed to get on a waiting list. Eventually, a lady prepping tables got our names and said it would be a few minutes. Apparently, regular patrons know to go back to the kitchen/counter area in the back to wait. We were seated in just a few minutes, so although confusing, all of this wasn't a big deal.

Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast and I ordered the Sunset Benedict. Our food was brought to our table in a very short amount of time (amazing considering how busy they were). Simply put, our food was hot and delicious. Our waiter and a helper kept us stoked on fresh coffee and checked on us regularly. The atmosphere was very warm and casual. It was easy to see why this place was so busy.

The next morning, Monday, we returned. This time it wasn't anywhere near as busy. We decided to sit outside on the patio. The waiter seemed less than thrilled to be there, but he warmed up a bit as time went on. We both ordered the California omelette with bacon and toast this time. This was a good choice. We both enjoyed it a lot.

The potatoes and crisp bacon stood out from both meals. The Benedict might not be the best choice for everyone. I tried it because I hadn't had one in a very long time. A classic omelette or just scrambled eggs are usually what I prefer for breakfast, but the Bennie was good.

The only reason I didn't give this place an excellent rating is the luke-warm service we got on Monday. Maybe weekends are the best time to come. For us, this will be a must-visit place for breakfast or brunch on future weekend visits to Fredericksburg.

Great Staff, Wonderful food, could not ask for a better way to start an incredible day! The Sunset Benedict is fantastic and the Carmelized Banana French toast is great.

We went to this restaurant as we happened to have a coupon from the Inn we were staying in. I enjoyed the french toast with bananas. Three pieces of french toast with a healthy serving of yummy bananas on top. Tasty. My husband enjoyed the Eggs Benedict with home fries on the side. They were beautifully served, a feast for the eyes and palate, as the eggs were perfectly done. The service was attentive, the cost was about $10 a plate, so not cheap, but good food done right. One note: the bathroom could use a little update :)
