My boyfriend and I travelled from Austin to Fredericksburg for a special weekend getaway. We arrived on Friday to the Ranch and were over the moon excited by the layout of the ranch, the cute little cabins that were decorated by theme, and the amazing outdoor area including a gigantic firepit and lounging chairs, a cowboy hottub, and scenic view. We stayed in the "Honeymoon Suite" with a king size bed, and I believe they all have mini fridges or better, a shower/bathroom, room for bags, microwave, and AC unit. It was PERFECT! We travelled to/from the kiche tourist fun of Fredericksburg and as we returned to the ranch it was as if the world slowed down, nature rose around us, and we were able to just enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the area, only 6 miles from town. Highly recommend! Owners were very down to earth and nice, accomodations were excellent, and perfect for families if you want to let your kids roam without problems. There are horseshoes and washers, a grill pit, tables, and every cabin is private enough to sit in the oversized rockers on the front porch and just soak it all in. We are going back... and taking friends...!
