“great trail to hike/jog”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

We actually ended up jogging this trail and loved all it had to offer. Crossed creeks, jumped rocks, and the trail was super clean!

“Willow City Loop and Beyond”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

This is a follow up to my "WCL April '13' review early last month under Mike S. I was up there again this past weekend (4/25-26). The loop as significantly more blooms than 3 weeks ago, but the reason for the update is the ride up Hwy 16 north of where the loop intersects at 16. The firewheel (indian red blanket) are thick, plentiful and fantastic all the way up to Hwy 965 (turn-off at Enchanted Rock). The field at the corner of 16/965 is worth the trip itself. Yellow, Red, White and Blue flowers everywhere - nearly as good as last yr. The ride out to Enchanted Rock is very colorful as well. I suspect this field will last another two weeks before it fades - so get up there ASAP.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

The loop trail, when in full bloom, is a feast for the eyes and a must-do in the spring. The wild flowers were not as abundant this year as in previous years, but still worth the time.

“A bit disappointing...”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

We had heard of "The WIllow Loop" from a number of folks at home. But we were a little disappointed. It wasn't a particularly good year for the wildflowers, but even if it had been, I think the Loop would have been disappointing. It's just a long, narrow road through hilly country. Private property, too, so you couldn't get out and explore or even take many pictures. Supposedly better to go at daybreak or dusk when you can see wildlife.

“Beautiful trail, easy and well-maintained”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Well worth the $7 per person fee as they keep the trail clean and very well marked. Great views everywhere.
