We enjoyed the restored building and old photos. The docents are great - we learned that until the end of WWII the language of business and church was German. On a previous visit another docent joined the Navy in WWII and thought he would be an interpreter in Europe - but was sent to the Pacific! They all had stories to tell.

Went there twice, once during Oktoberfest and next Food and Wine festival, what a wonderful heritage tribute to the loverly town. Wonderful volunteers. Learned a lot of history.

This church was actually relocated from it's original site in the middle of Main St. Although it is not the original church, it has been reproduced in detail. Their are various pictures and artifacts dating from the initial settlement of Fredricksburg and on into the 20th century. Various military uniforms are displayed for local war heroes. There is no charge for entry, although a donation jar is present if a person felt inclined to make a donation to help keep this small & quaint exhibit going.

Very informative exhibits...models and photographs of early Fredericksburg. Knowledgeable staff. Books and postcards as well. Don't miss the water wheel in the park behind the museum.

When we visited the Pioneer Museum we got a pass to view this place too. Very much worth the $5 value to see both places!
