It was a great place for my wife and I to relax. We loved driving down the road late in the afternoon and seeing all wildlife. The cabin was perfect for two people and the owners left a cake and breakfast to make you feel at home. We even had a doe deer right at the bedroom window in the morning. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. It was very clean and well maintained
The location is only about 5 minutes out of town and set back off of a country lane with many trees in front of the cabin. There was a sign on the front porch welcoming us by name and there was beautiful instrumental music playing when we walked in. We decided not to do a lot of running around and most of our time there we spent on the cozy porch in the Adirondack chairs sipping tea. We watched the wildlife come and go - lots of birds and families of deer. It was sooo peaceful and relaxing. The cabin is just like the pictures, warm and inviting. The host made us this wonderful little heart-shaped chocolate cake and there were other pastries, cereal, yogurt, drinks and more available to us. We soaked in the deep tub where she had bath salts, bubble bath and candles set out. There were many interesting books on the shelves including their own beautifully done picture book about the cabin. It was just what we needed and we felt refreshed and reinvigorated when we left. Perfect for couples. Sweet and romantic.
Located close to everything, yet in a gorgeous country setting. Wildlife everywhere. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning while watching the deer and a glass of wine in the evening while watching the fireflies light up the night. We hiked Enchanted Rock and thoroughly enjoyed the Museum of the War in the Pacific in town. We also visited wineries and fell in love with Texas wine.
Your hiding place has all the gracious amenities to make you feel at home and enjoying the beauty of Texas Hill Country.
The owners were very attentive. We will be back!
Very peaceful and quiet. It had all the extras that were advertised. About 5 minutes from town but felt like you were miles away. A great front porch to have coffee and to observe wildlife. We would recommend this to everyone.

My wife and I stayed here March 5-9 and while we were mostly just here at nights we found the location a perfect distance from the hustle of downtown F'burg. It had everything you could need in a rental home and had the added touch of some wonderful Goodies left for us on our arrival by our hosts that really put a superb personal touch to our stay!
We highly recommend staying out here about a 10 minute drive from downtown. Very quiet and very peaceful. And a wonderful metal roof that made for a great rain lullaby when the rains hit.
Also, note that there is a small back road cut-through to 965 just down from the driveway which is the road to the Enchanted Rock (keeps you from having to drive all the way back over to 16.)
We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. It was perfect. We were far enough away from town to not hear the Oktoberfest crowd but close enough to go do things during the day. It was extremely peaceful. Kathi (the owner) was extremely accommodating and available for my every need. She went out of her way to make everything so personalized & special. We will definitely stay here again.
