Wow. We really didn't know what to expect with this ranch, but it blew us away. We were visiting from Europe and wanted to experience rural Texas. Settlers Crossing ticked this box, so we went for it. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile from the owner David, and we're shown to our log cabin (the Bohl cabin). This log cabin couldn't be more idyllic: there were sheep grazing outside the immaculately presented fenced garden, logs pilled up outside ready for making a fire, and a log cabin with traditional beam features. The cabin itself is kitted with a basic kitchen, which is fine considering you grill most of your food. The bathroom was well equipped and clean. Breakfast was provided each day (muffins, cereal, and juice). The ranch grounds are beautiful to walk around and there's even a flock of sheep you can pet and feed. All the wineries are nearby: I'd recommend Becker vineyards!
I'd stay here again any day, and the price is very reasonable!More
