We needed a good sized room with kitchenette & all the essentials were here, microwave, fridge and sink! (there was even space for the bike.) Handicapped visitors might prefer the first floor. My slight injury was helped by a shower chair provided by the management. Also the location was great since it was near HEB grocery, Walgreens & the Sunset Grill is a short walk for the best lunches!!
My wife and I drove in from Florida pulling a trailer with two motorcycles. Paul, the owner went out of his way to make sure the bikes were safe and secure.
We typically stay at Hamptons since I am a Hilton Honors member but the Hampton does not allow pets. We stayed four nights, the room was clean and every request we made was cherfully met.
It rained one day and Paul provided towels to clean the bikes and we did not even request them. All in all it was a very plesent stay and we will likely stay here when we come back.
My friends and I have stayed here twice in the past 4 years to visit the great wineries in the area. It's not on Main St (in town) but that's a good thing. Location is very quiet. Rooms are large with a separate living room area with TV. Breakfast was good, and owner was very friendly. Highly recommend visiting the great German restaurants and Hondo's for nightlife.
