It's a beautiful drive out E. Crabapple Road through the Texas Hill Country to Enchanted Rock. There is a small entrance fee to enter the park. Once inside you can mountain climb and rappel or just climb up the "easy" side. Beautiful vistas await you!

We hiked this park for 2.5 hrs on a beautiful day, the huge granite all the way to the top, the view was incredible and down below trails in the woods. Loved it so much we bought a Texas State Park pass to do others.

We hiked to the top via summit trail. Short nice esay hike about half an hour. Nice view on top. Then we went back via the turkey pass. This was really fun, lots of boulders and a nice path. Hiking boots are helpful. Saw lots of birds, gecko , an almost blue squirrel and a snake. We had fun and loved the decor.

Get ready for a steep climb. It's a massive granite rock over 2000 feet tall. Lots of fun, and great view. You need to be able to walk on sloped granite.

Also get there early to avoid a line to get into the park, the park only allows a certain number of people a time.

hiked up to the summit - my husband and older son crawled through some cave that I wasn't about to enter, but it was the highlight of their trip I think. Came back next day and walked the Loop Trail and Turkey Pass, which I had never done before. You can appreciate Enchanted Rock as much or more by walking around it rather than to the top of it.
