“Great Hotel & Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2014

The Renaissance is a beautiful hotel, great big rooms and reasonably priced. Centrally located everyone can walk to restaurants, entertainment or night life activities, and just enjoy the hotel amenities. We stayed for four nights with a large group requiring six rooms and everyone raved about the rooms and service.

Was here last yr in the summer. The staff is attentive, caring and friendly. The accommodations are comfortable, spacious & clean
It has some restaurants, but is close enough to many other eating venues in downtown Fort Worth.
I will DEFINITELY stay here again.

I stayed here May 23-25, 2014 for a wedding and had a wonderful experience. Service is exceptional. When we arrived, hotel staff took our bags and we were met in the lobby by an employee who greeted us and walked us over to check-in. Our reservation was correct and our room was ready.

I called the front desk twice during my stay- once because we missed housekeeping in the a.m. because our "Do Not Disturb" sign was on the door, and another time to request extra housekeeping for the bride before she returned with her groom. Both times I called, housekeeping responded within minutes.

The beds are comfortable and they use Aveda products. The downtown location is ideal- we walked throughout most of our stay in Fort Worth.

I give this hotel 4 out of 5 stars because I feel that the parking is overpriced - $17 for self parking or $25 for valet. This adds up if you're staying multiple nights.

We stayed here while visiting families. Our room (540) had a great view and that is about the only thing good about this hotel. The rest was average for a room $200+/night. The bed squeaks and I am a small person. Room could use new carpet and towels.

My family and I spend a very enjoyable weekend at the Worthington while visiting Fort Worth for a wedding. Having traveled to Fort Worth many times over the past 20+ years, I believe the Worthington is the best located top-tier hotel in Downtown Fort Worth. It's not as new as the Omni, but the lobby and rooms are still fresh and is typically a better price than the Omni. It's overlooks Sundance square, is steps from all the best places to eat in downtown Fort Worth and is very easy to arrive and depart via car.

We did not have a chance to use the fitness center, but understand that it's pretty good by hotel standards. We did take advantage of the Worthington's proximity to the Trinity River Trail for a family hike along the river. (In a city that doesn't do a lot to promote access to nature, the Trinity River Trail is one of the local secrets for biking, hiking and running. There are also canoe and SUP rentals on the weekends.)

Be sure to take advantage of the breakfast buffet in Vadelia's restaurant. Both the continental buffet and full breakfast bar offer excellent fare and are very good values. The lobby bar is on the mezzanine and seems a bit cold, but who cares when there are a score of great places to meet for a drink within 1 block of the hotel.

My only real beef is that there's no free internet in the room. Internet in the lobby and restaurants is free, but they charge another $12.95 or so per day for a Wi-Fi the room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on an upper floor overlooking Sundance Square.

Good sized rooms although a bit dated. The location is good for downtown Fort Worth Very good fitness club and friendly staff. So it is fine just nothing memorable. Only real odd thing is no outdoor pool and no terraces so no real connection to the outdoors The lobby bar is also a bit dull

If you want to stay downtown in Fort Worth this hotel is perfect as it is close to everything and the rooms with view (such as mine) are great.

I absolutely recommend to take also the breakfast offer since it is simply AWESOME!

Nevertheless it is huge and does not make you feel really cozy.

Plus: the woman that greeted us for check in could hardly see (sorry to say but I really think she had serious sight problems) and therefore could not find our reservation at first and typed on the keyboard veery slowly...

Lots of activities (gym ecc.) are also inside the hotel but I was with my family there for only one night and did not have a chance to see them.

Room Tip: Ask for silent rooms (I read there are some that are NOT silent) with view.
