This is in an excellent part of town and the hotel is what you expect from a Renaissance. The rooms are large and the food was very good. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The spa is also nice. The pool is small but hot tub is good.

Went to Texas for son's wedding stayed here and loved it. Great location convenient to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. Valet a little crazy but it was busy! The Concierge was wonderful in hooking me up with local florist to deliver flowers to our "now" daughter inlay.

Bar upstairs was relaxing. Loved the NBA finals on the wall!

Firstly, let me point out the couple of niggles -
i) No concierge lounge - there is an area on the 8th floor but it is like a common area
Also, the area had great windows with phenomenal views (esp. during thunderstorms). These views are now hidden by the bar tops that are by the window.
ii) Smallish pool - nicely heated though
iii) Slightly dated rooms but still very comfortable

Now the good stuff -
i) Great staff - always polite and willing to go the extra miles from the bell staff to the front desk to the maintenance folks to he people who answer the phone (I have stayed there often enough to know the gamut). I switched from being a Hilton diamond to a Marriott platinum premier because of the staff at this and the Renaissance Waverly property.
ii) Very nice lobby with a unique waterfall and water garden. Nice seating areas where you can sit and read a book.
iii) Actually very nice restaurant on the property with a very progressive chef - great menu using local foods with a European twist.
iv) Nice gym and workout area.
v) Take excellent note of your personal preferences. I have returned after a year and they still made note of how I like my room.
vi) Great views from the rooms of downtown Fort Worth. Excellent for people watching
vii) A wing of the hotel literally is above the road. Nice perspective when cars are coming underneath. It is like standing on a bridge.

My entire family looks forward to coming here. Horse carriages in the evenings during summer (ask if you can feed the horses an apple), Molly trolley (free shuttle) goes through downtown Fort Worth. Large selection of excellent restaurants nearby (Try Picchi Pacchi from pizza), Unique Barnes and Noble also nearby. Courthouse behind the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the low number sides are directly over the road which is a unique experience. There are more suites than most Renaissance properties. If you have status, ask if you can be upgraded to a suite. They have balconies and are fun especially on the higher floors.

Very convenient to downtown, but at least for my stay lacked any 'personality'. Check-in desk was small for a hotel associated with a large convention area, and was slower than I'd like (even with a Marriott rewards account). I was travelling by myself, but there was a large group checking in at the time I arrived. The twin-double room was nice, certainly above median for a business hotel, but as noted earlier no free wi-fi, and no comfortable reading light near the bed, nor place to plug in my smart phone 'alarm clock' without unplugging the lamp. Not a lot of room on the bathroom counter to plug in the coffee pot (which is stored away in a credenza, to not clutter, I assume) and still have usable space. My room key stopped working after the first day, and I had to go back to the front desk to get it re-keyed twice. Bar on the mezzanine was good place to meet in the evening, and staff there was great. Self-park was very limited ($16/day unlimited in/out), and on the second day I had to circle the one floor of the garage several times waiting for somebody to leave to get a spot. There is valet, $24/day + tip. On the plus side, convenient to the highway, several great restaurants within 2 blocks, and only about 4 blocks to the convention center. Bottom line, I'd stay again when I have business in the area, but won't go out of my way if I'm away from downtown.

Very nice hotel conveniently located in downtown Fort Worth. It has a very nice Texas feel. The bar is awesome with bartenders that can make all kinds of neat drinks. The Mother's Day brunch was excellent. The overall service was terrific. It is a large hotel and so take that into consideration but as I said the service and feel was excellent, so I didn't mind being in a large hotel like this. I really liked that I could walk to the nicest restaurants and activities in downtown. The rooms are nicely sized with comfortable beds.
