I never knew what a "treasure" we had in Fort Worth with the Bureau of Engraving and Printing! We took the grandkids, ages 7 and 9, and they loved the whole experience! The big folks (Nana and Grandpa) enjoyed it, too! With a wonderful free tour and interactive exhibits, it's an educational experience worth the short drive into the rural outskirts of the city. My grandkids now proudly show others how to identify paper money made here in Fort Worth. This is a hidden gem in the DFW area!

We visited at the end of the Christmas holidays so a lot of the printing machinery was not running, The are a lot of displays with information and a self guided tour that you can take.

It was a great experience. Great fun for the kids and really cool stuff in the gift shop. There aren't many things to do for free nowadays so definitely take advantage and go!

Took my 13 yr old while we were visiting family in fort worth, great tour with lots of interesting facts and amazing processes for making money. Heavy security to get into the facility. Great way to spend a short time , I know the employees had an important job but they sure seemed to be very bored. But guess the government benefits make it worth the boring aspect

How often can you go somewhere and see millions of dollars on the floor. This is the place and there is no charge to view. The facility has two stories of displays, a short movie and the ability to view how the US makes it's money. It is fascinating. Unfortunately you cannot take any pictures but the memories will last and the money factory store is a great place to buy, what else but "money" and trinkets as well. The self guided tour is done with a map and audio. This is a place I will never forget. It was a great educational experience and during it we learned about all the techniques used to create the 'greenback" and how they prevent counterfeiting and what everything means on the bills.

A great place to visit.
