easy to get to .. right off of I-30 ... comfort food that's no-fuss and always good. Love their pecan and German pancakes .. great omelettes, too!

Open late and has great home cooking. Chicken fried steak, pot roast some of the best. Big breakfast food as well. German style pancakes !!

“Basic and good”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

This place just keeps on serving good solid breakfast and comfort food. I haven't been to Ol South in years, but it was just the same as in years past. All of our breakfast were prepared well. One of my favorites is their German pancake. If you haven't had one, you should try it once. It is a swedish type pancake that is larger than a dinner plate with powdered sugar, lemon, and butter. It is not low in calories or fat, but it is good.

“OK, but nothing spectacular”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

Not much healthy on menu. Fruit good. Coffee fair at best. Waitresses are nice and a little helpful. Nothing special, just ok.

“TCU late night must!”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Ol' South Pancake House probably has served more TCU (past, present and future) customers than there are golf balls hit at Colonial. The foods pretty good, especially the German Pancakes, but the real draw is the downhome comfort where you can talk, read, study, eat and feel okay!
