“For the Traditional Catholic”

St. Patrick Cathedral
Ranked #26 of 166 things to do in Fort Worth

St Patrick is a lovely, historical church in downtown Fort Worth. The Sunday Masses offer slightly different music at each. The 11 AM Mass is usually about 1 to 1 1/4 hours long, and offers a choir. I like the music selections, but I think the choral leader is a bit over the top vibrato. When she sings the Psalm it is impossible to understand her lyric. The choir is excellent, but need to take it down a notch on the drama. It is quite glorious, but needs a dose of humility. I think Fr Mahoney is a better preacher than Fr Pemberton, in my opinion. The church appointments are traditional and serve well to the glory of God.

Place is located near the Ft. Worth convention center. beautiful architecture and friendly congregation. parking in downtown can be challenging...so allow a lot of time for parking.

This is a very beautiful, historic cathedral. We attended a Sunday morning Mass while visiting Ft. Worth and were very pleased with the reverence of the liturgy and the interesting, beautiful interior of the Cathedral. Parking was available across the street and it was a fairly short drive from West Ft. Worth where we were staying. Would visit again when in Ft. Worth.

While visiting Fort Worth for the Armed Forces Bowl, attended Mass here and loved it. Only 15 minutes from West Fort Worth on Sunday morning, and parking was fine. Great architecture adn traditional Roman Catholic liturgy made it a great traveling find.

I love the architecture........the lovely white stone. It is an old building, but beautiful still. I went there recently and found myself feeling so serene in such quiet revery. It's a wonderful historical holy place for Fort Worth.
