If you are visiting Fort Worth for the Stockyards or something else, swing by the water gardens. Beautiful water structures that are relaxing and peaceful. I only spent about 20 minutes there so it is a quick trip.

To sum this place up.... Think concrete jungle, nuclear bunker, world war 2 pillar box etc.... Then add some hose pipes and gushing water, that's pretty much it.

The most interesting part was reading about the family who died in the "canyon" so they re-designed it shallower to make it safer.

Every Time I have a chance or have family member visiting from out of town I love taking them here. They are always really impressed. FIrst of all this is Free!!!. It is a group of fountains each having its own theme. On the quiet fountain sometimes Weddings are celebrated there and is closed. Almost every time there has been some group taking pictures like for a Sweet 16 or a wedding or a senior Prom. This place is absolutely awesome. On the Big fountain you can actually climb down and it feels safe for the kids. There are other areas to see and all of them equally beautiful. Parking on the weekends is free as you dont have to pay parking meters on the weekend.

This is an amazing place to visit, especially on a warm day in the Winter! The water falls are stunning. The sounds are relaxing and soothing all over the park. It takes you away from the downtown bustle and transports you into a forest with water flowing everywhere. And if you really want to wind down, go lay on the grass by the Amphitheatre. You can truly relax in this place!

There is nothing like the sound of water to calm the senses for an intimate moment. Great walking park with plenty of seating to enjoy the water exhibits.
