“Average Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

You pay one price (for a small, medium, or large plate) and it's a bit expensive for what you get. Drinks are bland in choice, and deserts are extra.

“Soup, Salad and quiche plus coffee for under $10”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

This is the perfect lunch buffet for art lovers/or casual drop-ins. Tasty choices in an inspiring, courtyard space for bargain prices. Friendly, helpful staff. A totally satisfying experience in the midst of great art.

“Kimball Art Museum cafe always a treat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

When you get hungry at the art museum, this is the most convenient place to go and their food is delicious. The quantity is on the small side by American standards but I have never had a bad meal there. It is a treat I look forward to when visiting this museum's frequent fabulous special exhibitions.

“Culture and Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Visited the art gallery although not really a big art fan, but because we had heard about the buffet lunches at the Kimbell. First things first the art is fantastic even for people like ourselves who are not experts. You can get audio equipment describing what to look for in paintings and this is well worth doing. It really opens your eyes to what the artist is trying to portray.

Anyway onto the food. As others have said it is a cafeteria style where you pay according to plate size and then basically help yourself. The quality is excellent and it is very fresh. Although technically you can pile your plate as high as you want it was nice to see most people were sensible about this and ate for quality not quantity.

We were there on a Sunday when it seems that many locals come to visit. However although the queues (lines for American readers) were initially long if you timed it right to say around 1.30 pm then there was virtually no one, and a complete choice of tables inside or outside was available.

If in the area you should go there - it makes a nice change from eating steaks served in the majority of Fort Worth restaurants.
