Ate lunch there today with my wife. We arrived about 11:50 AM and was greeted by a line of about 30 people. We were seated within 10 minutes.

Waitress was there quickly with water in hand. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with fries and a salad. My wife ordered the Chicken and Dumplings with Lima Beans and something else.

Within what seemed like 5 minutes, our food was delivered along with our check.

My CFS was pan fried, which was a big plus, but it was rather small and overcooked. It tasted ok. There were plenty of french fries, but they didn't seem to be cooked enough as they were still a little crunchy on the inside. The salad was small with shreddeed lettuce and two whole dices (not slices) of tomatoes. All for $7.10

Wife said that her Chicken and Dumplings were pretty good, although not as good as homemade. Actually, I thought they looked pretty nasty as they were yellow in color. She said the Lima Beans were ok. She didn't comment on the other veggie. Cost was $6.59 if I remember right.

We orderd one slice of coconut pie for dessert. The waitress asked if we were splitting it and we told her yes. She came out with the slice of pie split in half on two plates. Thought that was nice. It tasted about as good as you will find outside of Mom's kitchen.

One thing that I didn't like was that we both ordered Dr. Pepper's. The waitress brought 2 cans of DP along with 2 glasses of ice and charged $1.30 for each DP. And no free refills! And to think, I can buy a can of DP at work for $.55!!!

All in all it was a decent lunch, but I don't think I will return. Food wasn't anything to brag about, it seemed a bit expensive and the service, while the waitress was nice and all, seemed to rush us.
