The steak was great! The desserts are awesome too! Great service! Tex Mex authentic! Many selections on the menu for anyone to choose from.

Aside from the fact the building across the street is currently being renovated, Reata provides good, local cuisine, in a very hospitable environment. Free valet parking is always a plus. The waiter had good recommendations, and the quail was particularly memorable.

We decided to take our family to a special lunch a few days before Christmas. After a bit of searching I called Anna in events at Reata. She graciously offered a small private room that was a perfect fit for our family of 10-12. We let her know that we would like to stand and visit a few minutes before we sat and ordered. No Problem. Plenty of space to set gifts, walk about sharing and visiting before we ordered. The server provided perfect pacing for us and the menu had a variety that made everyone happy-steak, fish, and traditional southwest items with an upscale twist. i.e. tenderloin tamales, dessert tacos, etc. For dessert we ordered several selections and passed around for everyone to put a spoonful or two on their dessert plate for tasting. After we finished it was a very short walk to the beautiful Sundance Square where we enjoyed the outdoors. This will certainly be on our agenda for future celebrations.

We came to the Reata for a family celebration. Even though we were not going to be a high dollar group, they gave us a semi-private room, our own waiter, and first-class service. I really appreciated this. By the way, their chicken fried steak is just about the best.
