“Texas elegance.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

Walk in to fine Texas dining across the street from the Worthington. Our special room gave privacy for our noisy group. What a steak!! Perfectly cooked. Mac & cheese like none before. And, finish with the crispy apple dessert. Lots of Texas stuff on the walls. Friendly helpful staff.

“Great restaurant in downtown Ft Worth!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Nice environment in a nice location!
The restaurant is good for couples. It is quiet and the food is great.
We had dinner on a Saturday night and we could have some drinks up on the roof with a great view of downtown later that night.

“Great reception space”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

I will say I did not formally eat here but attended a conference reception here with food at Ettta's Place. It was a good place with a nice outdoor courtyard. Everything prepared was very good. Service was the best of any reception I have attended. Usually you can't find people but here people were there to eagerly help for any request. I would have liked to formally eaten there. The only negative I had was eating in the courtyard at 5, even in the shade, was a sweaty experience. Very good place to visit in the Sundance area.

“Fabulous Texas cuisine with Texas sized portions!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

Delicious, Texas flavors and spices used throughout the dishes. I had the carne asana with a cheese enchilada on top. It was cheesy, slightly spicy and enough for two people. The skirt steak was nicely marinated and flavorful. Jalapeño cheese grits were creamy with just the right heat. Nice wine list. Restaurant is Texas cattle country decorated, and the servers are very nice and knowledgeable. Reata is a great place to eat...but bring your appetite and some friends, too!

“Buffalo Ribeye Steak”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

First time visitor to the joint - it's a beautiful, yet rustic building in ftw. Cowboy food meets city life.
Went for dinner on a Weds night, party of about 8.
Service was very good, although the waiter spent a lot of time talking-probably to help take out minds off the prices!
Just kidding about the reason for the waiter taking so much, but I personally had deliberately arrived hungry, in anticipation of the meal & experience.
The food was cooked perfectly to order, and the buffalo rib eye was an excellent choice. Before ordering, I thought this was a 'buffalo' steak because of seasoning, but the waiter reminded me it was actual buffalo.. I took a chance and won with the choice..
Prices were fairly high for my usual dining. I think my entree was about $43 and consisted of a fairly large steak (about 12 oz.) which came with bread, garlic mashed potatoes and veggies; add another $7 for mushrooms. I had water to drink, while the group had alcohol. Expect to add $7 for every side dish, salad or dessert...
Total for my dinner was $64xx, including the auto-added gratuity. I would eat here again but not often, as the Texas Roadhouse & other places have excellent steaks flw about $25-30.
There is also a very nice rooftop bar, which is great if itis not raining, and a large covered dining area.
