“Bedrock size Beef Ribs!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

You are never taking a risk at Riscky's. Great food and service!
Our Party had sandwich baskets with crispy fries; All-U-Eat Ribs; and Ice Cold Beer which there are many on tap plus a full bar. We indulge in strawberry and blueberry Jell-O shots instead of dessert.

“Good meal, good prices!”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Took the Heartland Flyer to Ft Worth from OKC for the day. We decided barbecue sounded good. The nice tour guide at the train station guided us to the own town area. took the free trolley. we were a party of 4. We had a choice of seats and the waitstaff was great. our food arrived quickly. 3of us had the All-you-can- eat beef ribs. None of us needed seconds! We were each served 4 meaty ribs, a side, Texas toast, onion, pickle, jalepeno for 9.95. Hubby got the smoked chicken. He said his was good too! The sauce was a bit different from what we're used to in OK. It had an apple juice undertone. It was still good. We decided we'd go back again.

“Incredible Brisket Tacos, “Not Bad” BBQ”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

If you’re in downtown Fort Worth / Sundance Square, and you get a hankering for BBQ then Risky’s is your best (and only) dinner option. I’m a Fort Worth native and I always enjoy Risky’s. There is better barbecue to be had around Fort Worth no doubt, such as Cooper’s in the stockyards and Railhead off Montgomery. But Risky’s is still a solid BBQ option and is always a good value for any budget. It may even be my all around favorite because of the great variety on their menu, the best side options, and the best prices.

While it may not be traditional, if I had to recommend one thing and one thing only on the menu, it would be the Brisket Tacos hands down. Many reviews mention All-You-Can-Eat-Beef-Ribs and other specials which are fine. But the Brisket Tacos, day or night, lunch or dinner, are a steal for only $6.95. You get 2 large tacos and a side of beans and salsa. You can also ask for their spicy ranch sauce. The combination of salsa, spicy ranch, and their above average barbecue sauce in Corona bottles will make your mouth water with every scrumptious taco bite. Their brisket is the real deal and something Fort Worthian’s should be proud of. It’s authentic Texas brisket that you won’t find up north or back east (although once again not as good as Railhead or Cooper’s, neither of which is walkable from downtown). Cooper’s has the best meat, but is the most touristy/expensive, plus they don’t’ have a real “BBQ Sauce”, because they don’t really believe in saucing their BBQ. Railhead is the most popular and has the best BBQ Sauce, but their side items are lacking. Coleslaw, Potato Salad and Beans only? Pay extra out the nose to substitute fries or onion rings? Only at Railhead, not at Risky’s.

Need a little more food to fill you up? Add a side of okra for $2.59 or a baked potato for $2.99. If you’re really hungry, try any of the platters which are huge and still only $13-$16 and all come with a variety of excellent sides. Risky’s also has some of the coldest beer in town served in schooners. Everything’s bigger (and better) in Texas.
