“Reservations”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

I tried to get reservations for my wife and myself.

Was told, matter of factly, only take reservations for parties of 6 or more.

Wow, are they missing out of a market segment.

“A mix of neighborhood comfort and contemporary flair”
Reviewed April 22, 2012

We really enjoyed a Saturday night dinner at Winslow's. There was not an empty seat in the restaurant but the management and staff made us feel right at home. Our waitress recommended a moderately-priced Pinto Grigio that was light and flavourful. Most importantly, the ingredients in the food were top qualify and our dinners were good. Although this restaurant is on a boulevard in a quiet, older residential area west of the Museum District, for all that we knew, once seated in the contemporary surroundings, we could have been in the middle of Manhattan. Winslow's can be loud but, for us, it was a welcome change from the many chain restaurants on the east side of the Museums and a better value, as well.

“Easter Brunch not up to par”
Reviewed April 8, 2012 via mobile

Easter Brunch really lowered my Winslow meter. First because it was raining and no outdoor seating there was a long wait wished they had called and told us to come later. Thought being handed a Mimosa while waiting was nice, until I saw it on bill. Brunch items were tasty but everyone of them was cold....bacon, sausage, eggs, French toast, everything. If Golden Corral can figure it out I really think a place that seats 50 at most should be able to.

“Terrible Service”
Reviewed March 21, 2012

The food was excellent and the waitstaff were very nice. However, the service was the worst I have ever experienced. At 5:30, there was only my table and one other table. Took 15 mins. to get a glass of wine. Had to ask for bread twice, then ask for butter which did not come with the bread. The butter appeared to have been taken from another table as there was only about a teaspoon, and it looked used. One couple ordered a dinner to split. They both got their salads, but only one of them got her portion of the dinner. The other one never came. I ordered the house salad with rare tenderloin and was served the wedge salad with well-done tenderloin. It just went on and on like this all evening.

“Quality Place for Wine”
Reviewed March 14, 2012

Very nice, good selection of wine. The food is a bit high but the muches are good.
The wine per glass is high better to get a bottle and share it.
Nice place to just chill.
The area it is located has quite a few places so if this is not to your liking there are others just down the street. Like a great beer place, Ginger man's.
