The entrees are always intriguing. Good meat, seafood, chicken and pork selections, but with amazing sauces and combinations. Certainly recipes you don't encounter in every high end restaurant. They decline substitutions and rightly so. Each dish is orchestrated with a lot of creative thought and it would not be the same greatness. If you are a cook you would love Ellerbes because they serve things you would have no idea how to make. Everything is really fresh and intelligent. We had boar, steak, fish and cornish game hen and everyone absolutely loved their choices. No white boxes with our group.
My only complaint is the woman taking reservations is a bit rude. We have eaten there 3 times and each time it is the same. This last time I wanted to change our reservation for a Wednesday evening from 6:45 to 7:00 and she said she could not do it. However, we notice 4 tables for 4 that never were occupied. Think she could have been more accommodating.
