I'd never been to a Ruth's Chris prior to coming to Fort Worth. I'd always heard great things--except that it was overpriced.
My pricing philosophy is that if it's worth the money you're paying, then the value is high. In this case, the food was worth every dollar.
The cowboy macaroni and cheese was delicious. My wife doesn't even like mac n' cheese, but she thoroughly enjoyed it. The roasted brussels sprouts were amazing. Most importantly, the steak was possibly the best I've ever eaten. I had the bone-in ribeye. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection.
The atmosphere (in case you've never been), is dimly-lit, and full of New Orleans-style culture. Good for promotions or a night out with the spouse. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny, but it'll be a dining experience you won't soon forget.
Be cautioned: I went in uneducated and seemingly underdressed, in a T-shirt and jeans. They didn't make a fuss about it whatsoever, but I felt out of place. I wish I would've at least worn a collared shirt. To avoid this kind of unhealthy self-consciousness, I would recommend a minimum of business casual.
Bottom line: it is not a cheap place to eat. But if you haven't spent your tax return yet, this would be a worthwhile investment in yourself!
