“Interesting American Art”

Easy parking nearby. Located in a nice area off from the West 7th area. Attended during the American food exhibition and was impressed by the Rockwell paintings.

“Stop here for American art”
Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

I went to see the bronzes, but was pleasantly surprised to find a broad spectrum of American artists represented. Galleries were well laid out. Liked the current special exhibit on food

“Don't miss visiting the Amon Carter Museum of American Art”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

You will enjoy the diverse collection of American Art. The Art and Appetite exhibit should not be missed. The exhibit was organized by the Art Institute of Chicago and will be there until May 18th. We also enjoyed the paintings, photography, prints and sculptures in their collection.

“Beautiful Museum”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

Excellent permanent collection, but the special exhibit "Appetite and Art" was exceptionally wonderful. I also loved the local show, Underground: photographs by Kathy Sherman Suder, composed of very large prints of people in subway stations. I could have written a short story about each person, each situation, if I'd had the time.

“A wonderful collection of classic and western art”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

It is well worth the visit to this museum. It is free to the main visits. We came in the evening and enjoyed most of the exhibitis with little interference from others. It was well worth the 2 hours we spent there. We will go back soon.
