I love the old MLB ballparks. Not many left. When I was a kid and very early adult I would attend ballgames at Crosley Field in Cincinnati. This ball park is better than Crosley but it reminds me of my youth and the three other MLB old ball parks I have visited. It is not difficult to get to and reasonable. I found it clean. Sad but true of the ones I have visited only Wrigley is left. So LaGrave is a nice trip back in time for me. Of course minor league baseball is the best deal in professional sports.

La Grave Field ranks up with the great sporting venues of America as far as the greats who have played there. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Willie Mayes, Don Drysdale, Jackie Robinson, and many more. It stands where the original stood all the way back to the 1920s. My Grandfather used to take my mother here in the 30-40s. Great baseball. Great access to the players. No attitude like Rangers players. Kids running the bases. Incredible mascot Dodger. Choice of many cold beers including Shiner Bock. Food from well known local establishments. Very inexpensive to watch baseball played the way it was meant to be. Very easy in/out. No mile walks to car or absorbent parking fees. If you want REAL value for your sporting dollar you will not be disappointed at a Cats game at LaGrave. And go see the field even if it is the off season. Pretty neat to stand on the same field as the Bambino, Iron Horse, Say Hey Kid, Big D, and so many others.

This was like being a kid again! Watching a game where the players polayed like they really enjoyed the game. They weren't init for the money. And you could actually see em without binoculars! Food is great, prices are great and the whole experience was awesome
