“Decent hotel, a bit pricey for Sheraton”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

I have been traveling to Forth Worth over the last month for work and always stay at the Sheraton trying to rank up my SPG points. It is located a little off center, but still walkable distance to town where you can find tons of bars and restaurants. Rooms are of decent size, but a little outdated, even on the club floor. Food is barely average and for what they charge I'd suggest going into the town center to find something better. It seems to be a recurring theme across all the Sheratons I stayed at when it comes to in-room dining, so no surprise here. One exception though is their breakfast bar in the lounge, which is fantastic, always stacked with fresh meats, eggs, veggies and more, so if you do have access I'd highly recommend to use it. Overall decent stay, but a little bit pricey if you don't have a corporate discount.

Room Tip: Don't get a room facing the highway as you will have a hard time falling asleep!

Thank you for completing a review. We appreciate your feedback. We are competitive with the other hotels in downtown for pricing on food. We are glad you enjoy the club lounge and we look forward to your next visit.

We arrived late and were in our room within 10 minutes. When u are a tired and weary traveler that's what u want. The location is great, walking distance to anything in old downtown Ft. Worth. Very clean. Very well maintained for what is an older hotel.
Rooms are not sound resistant and so we had a noisy neighbor. Staff are friendly, but could step it up a notch. All in all a good two night lay over.

Great location, great services, nice spacious rooms all for a great price make this an easy decision. We will be back next time we are in town. Located just outside the very crowded down town area makes this hotel easy to get to yet still close enough to all the nice attractions of downtown.

We have stayed at this property before with good service and amenities. However; this stay FIZZLED. We stay on the club floor first so we can have a relaxing wind down with glass of wine before dinner. Second I get up before my husband and go to the lounge for coffee. This time at 7:15 no coffee or breakfast. I called down and the staff said it's on its way. 4 phone calls later, i go to the front desk.It is now 9:15. They are NOT concerned, questioned if I ever called and basically dismissed it as someone did'nt show up. Not the service a Starwood member expects

Thank you for your loyalty to Starwood and the Sheraton. We appreciate your feedback. We did have a server who did not show up for work and apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We will talk to the front desk staff about their responses. We hope you will give us another chance on your next trip to Fort Worth.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and were very satisfied. Thanks to previous reviews, we asked for a room in the south tower, away from the train noise and never once heard any. The room was large, and everything was clean and nice. Staff were friendly. Our only complaint: the advertised shuttle didn't run 2 of the days we were there. The Trolley does stop right outside the hotel, so there was an easy backup, but we would have liked to use the shuttle to go somewhere off the trolley route.

The pool and hot tub are big, indoors, and not too crowded, even though it was spring break.

Room Tip: South tower, high up was quiet at night. Also, apparently room #72 on each floor is right next to t...

Pros:
close to convention center, on "Molly the Trolley" free transit route, nice outdoor parking at $15/day, lovely walk through the Fort Worth Water Garden to get to convention center, super warm shallow pool, great burgers in hotel bar.
Cons:
A little spendy considering the space, lack of outlets, lack of ROLLAWAY BEDS or COTS, no fridge or microwave in room.
We stayed at the Sheraton for a convention across the way. With three people *one of them quite elderly*, I had called twice to make sure that we had a rollaway or cot to accommodate the third person. My colleague also called and was told "no rollaways' state fire code law". The two times I called I was told "no problem". When we arrived to check in, the young man at the desk said that while a rollaway was not possible, a "pallet or cot" would be delivered. This apparently consisted of a large chunk of not entirely aesthetically pleasing foam. The desk attendant said, when told that twice I had been assured we would have a cot, "we have to talk to them (reservations?) about that."
Frankly, I've never stayed in a hotel that would not accommodate a cot, so I really wondered about this - especially when there were at least two, possibly three good-sided spaces in the room for a cot - that would not impede traffic...
The piece of foam was reasonable comfortable, but probably should have been zipped into some sort of washable cover fabric. I felt a little like I was sleeping in a junkyard!
The other annoyances were a clear lack of outlets; with three people needing to plug in electronic devices, key cards that somewhat randomly worked and didn't, and a lightbulb near the bed that faintly glowed only even after being replaced. Not sure if this is a pro or con, but the hot water was REALLY HOT (like scald yourself hot), and the cold was quite cold.
The pool was wonderful, shallow and warm and bathlike -- and the hotel had, quite frankly, one of the best burgers I've eaten. Not as impressed with the natchos with 'fake' cheese sauce. Sweet potato fries = yum.
Decent place for a convention center hotel room --

Thank you for your response. We are sorry for any confusion with the rollaway bed. It is against the fire code for us to put a rollaway bed in a room with two queen beds due to the space that has to be allotted for an escape path in the event of a fire. We always put our guests' safety first and we want to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay with us. We hope you will stay with us again in the future.

I just stayed for three nights at the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel across from the Convention Center and Fort Worth Water Gardens. The location was good, but the hotel was unexceptional. The room was adequate; the bed was comfortable, but the room lacked some amenities one would expect at this price point. Neither the food, nor the ambience of the restaurant was appealing. In retrospect, I wish I had stayed at the other main hotel for our meeting-the Omni. I had several sessions there, saw a guest room and ate Breakfast twice. It was clearly superior to the Sheraton.
