Any race fan will be more than satisfied attending the Indycar race at TMS every June. Its a night race so you dont have to deal with the heat.

To make your visit even more interesting, buy a pit pass ... it gives you access to the garage and pit lane areas plus youll get to meet all of the drivers.

The main grandstands have plenty of concessions and restrooms, youll never have to wait in line for either.

The concessions are a little expensive so be ready for that. Prices from the June 8, 2013 race - 32 ounce sweet tea $7, plain hot dog $5, beer in aluminum longneck bottles $7 ... you get the idea. You can save a ton of money by bringing your own food and beverages (including beer) in an ice chest which they DO allow you to bring inside, just check the official website for size restrictions.

Most every seat on the front stretch has a good view. If you sit from about row 25 and higher you can see the entire track.

***Avoid the backstretch seats during NASCAR races. Theyre cheap but you get what you pay for ... very limited view of the track.

My husband and I won tickets at a local parts store, so we went to see the racing. Was not dissapointed at all! It is a little pricy, and the traffic is terrible, but all in all a great time. Just remember not to get into a hurry driving in and out.

Phenomenal Race Track. One of NASCARS Finest. If you ever get the chance to go, I highly suggest it. Also check out the "Wild Circus" while you're there too. You are allowed a 14 x 14 cooler to take into the track so you dont have to pay for food there which is a great convienence. Great views. Nascar Fan Experience prior to the race is really cool too.

The driving school is fun. It's a great corporate team-building experience. Enjoy a great BBQ lunch, and then go round-n-round real fast with a "professional idiot". (That's what the instructors call themselves, since only an idiot would ride along with an inexperienced driver at 140mph !)
