Love this place on racing day! Free parking is close to the gates as long as you get there early. Lots of bathrooms so the wait for women isn't too bad. Food is good. But step it up a notch and become a member of the Speedway Club and this place is the bomb....amazing food, massages, facials, a fantastic bartender!

This raceway park has everything. I enjoyed it during IRL and NASCAR racing. If you like racing it is fun. If you love racing, your going to love this track.

The Speedway is a great place to enjoy the excitement (and noise - bring earplugs!) of NASCAR and other special events. Concessions are pricey; so, consider eating before you arrive. Access to the Speedway from I-35 W is convenient. Allow for the usual stop and go both before and after your event.

The Heart O'Texas Motor Speedway is located just north of Ft Worth along I-35. The Speedway ticket office/souvenier shop is where you pickup your tour tickets for $8. Your guide loads your group in a van and makes several stops all around the speedway and grounds. A lake, enormous parking lots and endless campgrounds surround the track. We drove past a building inside the Speedway containing several luxury townhomes with a club house and a swimming pool shaped like Texas. Saw the Texas Driving Experience race cars leaving to run the track. We got out to take photos at the pits and victory lane. There's a small emergency room and restaurant in the infield. Since there had been the Nationwide race the Sunday before, a couple NASCAR drivers luxury RV's were still parked in the infield. We took an elevator up into the top of the stands for a view from inside one of the corporate suites.

We lucked out that no one was using the track that day, so our guide took us for a spin several laps around the top of the track. He said we were going 85 mph, sorta felt like being in a washer's spin cycle. Made taking photos at that speed pretty tough, but managed to snap a few out of the van's back window. He also stopped on one of the track's corners where you can really feel how steep the incline of the track grade is. I've toured the Daytona Speedway and think we got to see and do more on this tour.

I recently had a corporate event at the Texas Motor Speedway and it was a disaster. The staff was ill-equipped, slow and unprepared. While the food was good, they didn't prepare enough and ran out of the main course. There weren't any spoons for the dessert, which was also mis-labeled. We had asked for Tiramisu to be served and it wasn't available.

It was as if TMS had never had a corporate dinner there before. The servers didn't know what to do or what needed to be done. When asked to clear a table, replace bread, etc. they were hesitant and slow. Many times I was even unable to find a server on the floor.

Additionally, they wouldn't turn the track lights on until after the guests had arrived and they didn't have enough staff working that night.

By all costs, STAY AWAY!!!!
