“Somewhat of a ghost town”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

The long horn cattle drive was cool and more than half the stores were open and fun to walk through (very touristy), but the town seemed dead. We visited on a Thursday, so it's possible the area is more lively on a weekend.

“Stockyards area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Very busy area with everything from indoor rodeo shows and horse riding opportunities to a train ride over the creek into the countryside. Ample restaurants for that famous Texan T-Bone - a lovely bustling area with lots going on

“A great piece of the West!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

The daily Cattle Drive is pretty neat - real cowboys, longhorn steer. The district has a lot of shops, restaurants, and bars. All with a lot of down home charm. Worth the time to visit, especially if you get to see the Cattle Drive, then go to the Rodeo (you have some time to explore between the 2).

“Wonderful!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

My family and I have attended this about 3 or 4 times by now and it is so amazing every time I see it. I have always thought that the cattle running down the street only happened in the movies. NO! They still do it here! This is perfectly safe. They have security out making sure that you stay off of the street. I recommend this to all ages. Young and Old!

“Great spot to learn some Texas History”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

Cattle drive was great to watch. Loved all the plaques on the buildings that describe local events and people. Did not like the walk along the canal. Very dirty and smelly.
