It was great, a completely texan experience, we saw the rodeo and the cowboys everywere. I am glad we took the time to see the area.

It's a must see if you are near "Cowtown". Restaurants, shopping, bars and cowboy atmosphere unparalleled.

Contrary to our hotel, we did not really like it that much. It all seems a little fake, not the real thing. We came in from West Texas and later went to see the King Ranch, which gave us more of a cowboy feeling. It seems to be more of a good place for girls and boys from Dallas or elswhere to go there for a weekend and live it up with dancing, drinking and pretenting to live in a time which passed some time ago. However it is probably a good thing for the area, rather than to leave it rotting away. The most western felling came up at night when you could here the sounds of trains passing in the distance. While we were there there was a Halloween night for the kids. It was nice to see the families with their children dressed up in costumes of all kinds. Surprisingly it did not last long and after a couple of hours the aerea was dead, which allowed us quiet night.

Fort Worth Stockyards is a treasure. Lots of history. Easy to see what it was like in it's day. We will visit again.

Lots of shopping, food, and fun for all ages. Daily cattle drive through the streets with real livestock and cowboys. Tons of historical sites to see and a passenger train to ride through the area so you can take in other sights and sounds as you ride along. You have to visit at least once in your lifetime. It will be worth it.
