Had our wedding reception here and everyone was so please with how Melanie and reception staff made us feel at home. For the price of everything we felt that we under paid. I live in the DFW area by i would gladly stay another night just due to the friendliness and atmosphere.

Stayed here last night on the 6th floor( top floor). I was a little worried about the sound level because the planes fly right over top of the hotel but once inside, silence. Very nice modern hotel for Holiday Inn. The hotel restaurant and bar is nice, clean and inviting. Plus if your flying to or from DFW airport the free shuttle is great which runs every 30 minutes 24/7.

From the beginning of our stay at this Holiday Inn we should have known it was going to be bad. Arriving after a Rangers game on Friday night we had to look everywhere for a place to park, it was obvious something was going on. There was cars parked all over the side streets and the parking lot was almost full, and there were beer bottles littering little areas of the parking lot. After finally finding an entrance that hotel guests could use and find a spot to park we made our way in the hotel. As soon as we got out of the car we could hear the thumping of the nightclub. After screaming my information to check in over the horribly loud sound of the nightclub (which is right next to the check in counter on the bottom floor) we made our way through the overly strong odor of Friday night's "Latin Action" themed dance party, which reeked of too much cologne and bad decisions. You have to walk right next to people dry humping each other on the dance floor to get to the elevator. After shielding the eyes of my children we finally made our way on to the elevator and to the third floor. Until at least two or three A.M. the thumping of "Latin Action" made the walls vibrate over and over again. The room was great, but the continued noise from the nightclub ruined any chance of a good sleep. Our next mistake, beside staying here, was getting up the next morning and planning to have breakfast with the other people in our part who were also staying here. The breakfast area is actually in the same location of the nightclub and it seemed that the hotel was still recovering from a hangover as well. First we were informed that the buffet would be 10.99 per person, which is fine. Except after the waitress took our drink orders we got up to make our plate since it is buffet style...except, oh wait! There's no clean plates! And there won't be any clean plates for another five to ten minutes. We waited at the table, then waited in line to get a clean plate...finally make our breakfast of which there are very few choices on the hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and some industrial sludge they called grits). After making our plate head back to the table to eat and what do you know?! There's no silverware on the table, so we ask for some...and guess what? There's no clean silverware! We end up having to wait another five to ten minutes to get clean silverware so that we could eat our food which by then was lukewarm.
The hotel could be really, really nice...it's in a good location, easy to get to off of 360 or from the airport, but I think it needs to decide if it wants to be a nightclub or a hotel, or at least build the nightclub somewhere other than the lobby. I would not return here and would not want wish for anyone with children or that would like to sleep at night to go here.

Room Tip: Go as high as you can, maybe you can escape the noise of "Latin Action"

I just wanted to write and say that Rosemary and Becca in food and beverage were great. My group had a small problem and we were well taken care of. Over all this is a great facility and everyone was courteous and professional.

Being away from home each week for work is not fun, but a nice hotel staff can make a big difference. James is always helpful and cheerful everytime I stay at Holiday Inn. Even when I need to extend my stay and no rooms are available, he finds a way. The rest of the staff are also very friendly and helpful as well. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is awesome.
