Motel is on the east side of Ft. Stockton and is surrounded by abandoned or vacated properties. However, the owners, Mr. & Mrs. Patel are very plesant and accomodating. Our room was freshly remodled and exceptionally clean. The king bed was comfortable and the bath had a super large tub. We stayed three nights and the maid had the room spotless and tidy each time we returned.
The Inn is across the street from Mi Casita Mexican Restaurant which is only open from Tues to Fri. Go figure. It is also within walking distance of a beer and soda store! I would definitely recommend the Deluxe Inn to a friend and will stay here again when I am in the Ft. Stockton area.

Room Tip: I always make it a rule to see the room before I commit.

We selected this motel because of the reviews on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed at all. This is a very modest motel but the rooms have been remodeled. Ours had a completely new bathroom and new carpeting in the room. The king bed was very satisfactory, the television although wifi was spotty. Hey - for the price, it was perfect - no complaints here!

Room Tip: I asked for a remodeled room and told the owner that I had found the reviews on the internet.

The renovations are ongoing here; and the property grounds are not anywhere near completion. The room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and good linens; the bathroom had been redone also, but the bathroom door did not close tight. The quality of TV reception was very poor, but the internet was great. Parking within the property is confusing. The neighborhood is run down and not particularly inviting, although a highly recommended restaurant, Mi Casita, is almost across the street. It was quiet during the night and we had a good rest. Guess I still prefer the reliability and "sameness" of the big chain motels, even when they are not as personable as the small, family-run places.

Room recently completely refinished. Outside looked shabby but room fantastic for budget hotel. New doors, wallboard, carpet, fridge, microwave, pillow top mattress, sheets, blanket, and cover. Bathroom had new tile on floor and shower sides as well as new toilet, tub, sink and counter tops. Free WiFi and new tv gave us everything we needed. Most popular cafe in town (Mexican) across street(Mi Casita) Very good cafe half a block west serves American & Mexican breakfast. Rooms on both sides of us were occupied and we didn't hear a sound so I guess the new wallboard worked well there. Nothing fancy but if you want a clean, comfortable place at a fantastic price this is it.

We stayed one night. They are trying hard to give this old motel a face lift renovation. They are making it a lot better but it is still an old hotel. No breakfast included but not bad value. We would stay again.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the motel are a bit quitter.

We were getting into the area very late-scheduling issues- and we were exhausted. We checked a couple hotels closer to the highway because they were a little closer and found them booked. We saw other reviews and decided to head into town to see about this place. Do not let the outside fool you! First, the staff is warm, the rooms are well apportioned, extremely clean and decorated well with completely renovated interiors. TV, microwaves, coffee maker and full bath. And the price was fantastic! Would stay here with family again.

We ONLY stayed at a place like this because of great reviews. First we made reservations three weeks ahead of time to find out they had no record of it. Scary considering they have all my credit card information. Second, the parking has no organization and little space to park. Lastly, our toilet kept acting up, actually giving out completely right before we left.
