“Best RV park in Fort Stockton”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Very friendly owners, clean and easy to navigate sites. Easy to access to park and convenient to Fort Stockton. This is a great park for an overnight visit or an extended stay. The sites were very easy to drive into and were pull through. Park is fenced and very secure. We stayed here in a 37 foot motorhome with toad. This has become a definite stopover park on our way west.

This is a well kept campground on top of a hill. Camp sites are level with a good view of the city. Great pool area with patio. There are only two bathrooms but each is private with showers. Bathrooms are spotless. They have cute metal art figures around the grounds. Staff was friendly & helpful. Prices were excellent. Only negative was no cable & wifi could only be accessed very late night. Overall it is a good place to stay at a great rate.

Bring your telescope! The Hilltop RV Park is on top of one of the few hills in the Fort Stockton area, with lovely views and lovely starlit nights.

The sites are wide, graveled and level. The shade trees are young but growing fast. WiFi was excellent. The showers and bathrooms were impeccably clean, as was the swimming pool, which – because of solar gain - was warm , even on the last night in September. We did not turn on the TV - so no report from us of cable.

Woodalls directions are flawed but the manager was gracious and helped us get there. Just call, they will get you right in. CARetired was correct: “1st RV park from the west, last RV park for the east”. The park looks across onto the "Look to the East” sculptures of artist Brain Norwood.

This place is clean, quiet and lovely and excellently priced. (We paid $25 a night.) We will recommend it to everyone.

For the weary traveler you won't be disappointed, it's relatively easy to find, clean and quiet. For the adventurer looking for beauty, night life and an abundance of things to do, you might be disappointed.

Late arrival, office closed but spaces are available on the very back row along the fence line. Simple self register process. Now, watching shooting stars with a cold beer after a long day on the road with my honey, "oh the camping life for me!"

Posting through more than adequate wifi!

Location is great for ease of access to I-10, folks with 31ft RVs plus tow vehicles appreciate space. Nightlife is not the main objective here unless you like owls and coyotes!

Easy to get to. Easy to maneuver when inside park. Friendly and helpful owners. We had a long day with some good winds and with the time change we were a little late. The owners watched for us and helped us get to our spot. Would definitely stay again on our way thru the great state of Texas.

1st RV park as your coming into town from the west & last RV park if coming from the east. Full hook-ups, large pull-thoughs with picnic tables. Free Wi-Fi worked ok with some interruptions. OK for an overnight stop. Entire park is dirt/gravel. Wouldn’t want to be here in high winds. They offer absolutely no discounts of any kind, which made it one of the most expensive parks we’ve stayed at. We’ll be trying the RV park at the other end of town on our return trip, IF we have to stop in Fort Stockton.
